Scholarship Opportunites
The following scholarship opportunities are provided to Algoma School District graduating students from businesses and community members. They are administered and processed by the Algoma Area Education Foundation, Inc.

Students must complete an AAEF scholarship application and indicate their interest to be considered for any community scholarships for which they are eligible. Click on each scholarship below to learn more about the donor and eligibility.

KRIS FULWILER MEMORIAL SCHOLARSHIP
The Kris Fulwiler Memorial Scholarship is a $4,000 award for a graduating Algoma High School senior pursing post-secondary education. Established in memory of lifelong Algoma resident Kris Fulwiler, the scholarship reflects her passion for supporting students and continuing her commitment to helping young people in the community achieve their academic goals.

MUSKRAT CITY SPORTSMAN'S CLUB SCHOLARSHIP
The Muskrat City Sportsman’s Club Scholarship offers a one-time $750 scholarship to a deserving Algoma High School senior planning to attend a two- or four-year postsecondary institution. Preference will be given to students pursuing studies in Natural Resources or Agriculture, though students in other fields are encouraged to apply.

JANICE (DETTMAN) HANAMANN MEMORIAL SCHOLARSHIP
The Janice (Dettman) Hanamann Fund offers a one-time $500 scholarship to a deserving graduating senior planning to further their education. Established by her son, Micheal Hanamann, the scholarship honors Janice's unwavering support, kindness, and dedication as a mother. Through this scholarship, her legacy continues by helping students pursue their goals and make a positive impact in the world.

JAMES "JIM" R. BLAHNIK MEMORIAL SCHOLARSHIP
The James "Jim" R. Blahnik Memorial Fund offers a one-time $500 scholarship to a graduating high school senior pursuing further education in agriculture. The fund honors Jim Blahnik, a dedicated farmer, community leader, and family man. Through this scholarship, his legacy continues by supporting students in reaching their goals and making a positive impact in their communities.
