The Algoma Area Education Foundation and generous community donors offers several scholarships to support Algoma School District students pursuing college, technical education, and career pathways.

AAEF Four-Year College Scholarship

$2,500 Award

This $2,500 one-time scholarship is for a graduating Algoma High School senior planning to attend a four-year college or university to obtain a bachelor's degree.

$2,500 Award

This $2,500 one-time scholarship is for a graduating Algoma High School senior planning to pursue a two-year degree, technical program, or skilled trade certification.

AAEF Dual Credit Scholarship

$500 Award

The Algoma Area Education Foundation is offering a $500 dual credit scholarship to 10 deserving Algoma students. This scholarship is intended to support to students by offsetting the cost of earning college credit while still in high school.

Scholarship Opportunites

The following scholarship opportunities are provided to Algoma School District graduating students from businesses and community members. They are administered and processed by the Algoma Area Education Foundation, Inc.

Students must complete an AAEF scholarship application and indicate their interest to be considered for any community scholarships for which they are eligible. Click on each scholarship below to learn more about the donor and eligibility.

KRIS FULWILER MEMORIAL SCHOLARSHIP

The Kris Fulwiler Memorial Scholarship is a $4,000 award for a graduating Algoma High School senior pursing post-secondary education. Established in memory of lifelong Algoma resident Kris Fulwiler, the scholarship reflects her passion for supporting students and continuing her commitment to helping young people in the community achieve their academic goals.

JOHN & GAIL HAACK FAMILY SCHOLARSHIP

The John & Gail Haack Family Scholarship is a $1000 scholarship supporting AHS seniors pursuing higher education. This scholarship was established in honor of the Haack family’s contributions to the Algoma Area Education Foundation.

The Norma Mueller and Marge Curtin Memorial Fund provides a $1,000 scholarship to support a deserving student planning to pursue post-secondary education.

ALGOMA LIBRARY FRIENDS SCHOLARSHIP

The Algoma Library Friends Scholarship awards $1,000 to a graduating Algoma High School senior pursuing post-secondary education in fields that promote literacy.

MUSKRAT CITY SPORTSMAN'S CLUB SCHOLARSHIP

The Muskrat City Sportsman’s Club Scholarship offers a one-time $750 scholarship to a deserving Algoma High School senior planning to attend a two- or four-year postsecondary institution. Preference will be given to students pursuing studies in Natural Resources or Agriculture, though students in other fields are encouraged to apply.

KEWAUNEE COUNTY TAVERN LEAGUE SCHOLARSHIP

The Kewaunee County Tavern League Scholarship offers a one-time $750 scholarship to a deserving Algoma High School senior planning to attend a two- or four-year postsecondary institution. Applicants must demonstrate financial need.

Through this scholarship, her legacy continues by helping students pursue their goals and make a positive impact in the world.

JAMES "JIM" R. BLAHNIK MEMORIAL SCHOLARSHIP

The James "Jim" R. Blahnik Memorial Fund offers a one-time $500 scholarship to a graduating high school senior pursuing further education in agriculture. Through this scholarship, his legacy continues by supporting students in reaching their goals and making a positive impact in their communities.
