To review the requirements for scholarships view the community scholarships page.

Algoma Area Education Foundation Scholarships

This essay question must be completed by anyone applying for one of the AAEF sponsored scholarships. The question may be written (400-600 words) or in a video format (max 5 minutes long). You will need to choose one question from this list of questions:

  • What are your educational and career goals and why they are important to you?

  • What are your strengths and how do they align to your goals?

  • What do you see as personal areas of improvement and what strategies will you use to improve them?

Community Scholarships

The following essay questions will depend on which community scholarship(s) you will apply for. They must be less than 500 words and may not be completed with a video.

  • Janice (Dettman) Hanamann: "What are your passions? Who has been the biggest influence and role model in your life? What are your future goals?"

  • Normal Mueller and Marge Curtin: "Fifty+ years from now, what do you, as the student applicant, hope that those who know you best will say when asked to describe you?"

  • James R. Blahnik: "How has your involvement in agriculture and/or animals helped you grow individually, expand your interest in this field, shape your career path, and help your community?"

  • Rutz Family Scholarship and Bob Junio Scholarship: These scholarships will use the AAEF essay questions. If you are not applying for an AAEF scholarship, you will still need to choose one of the questions from the AAEF essay question options for that scholarship and write an essay. You do not need to write an additional essay for the Rutz Family Scholarship and the Bob Junio applications if you are applying for the AAEF scholarships.

  • Muskrat City Sportsman's Club: "How has your involvement in outdoor related activities helped you grow individually, expand your interest in this field, and help your community?"

  • Kewaunee County Tavern League: "Who has been the person that has influenced you the most in your life and why?"
