Kris Fulwiler Memorial Scholarship
​The Kris Fulwiler Memorial Scholarship is a $4,000 award for graduating Algoma High School seniors planning to pursue post-secondary education. Established in memory of Kris Fulwiler, a lifelong Algoma resident and strong supporter of local students, the scholarship was created by her family to honor her passion for education and her commitment to helping young people achieve their academic goals.
Scholarship Requirements
Eligibility & Criteria

Graduate of Algoma High School (Class of 2026)

Plan to pursue post-secondary education (two- or four-year college, university, or technical/trade program)

Demonstrated academic achievement, extracurricular involvement, and community service

No minimum GPA required​
Application Process & Essay

Complete the scholarship application, including a copy of your current high school transcript.

Submit one essay through the application form, selecting from the AAEF essay questions.

If your application is selected to move forward after review, you will be contacted to schedule an in-person interview with the AAEF Scholarship Committee.

​Selection is made by the Algoma Area Education Foundation Scholarship Committee.​
Letters of Recommendation

Provide two letters of recommendation. One must be written by a representative of the Algoma School District.
