Bob Junio

Lifelong Resident of Algoma

Bob Junio is a lifelong resident of Algoma and graduated from Algoma High School in 1973. After graduation, Bob enrolled in the one-year Construction Electricity Technical Program and received his technical diploma. Bob worked at Peterson Builders Incorporated (PBI) from 1974 until the time of their closure in 1995. At that time, he decided to open his own business, Junio Electric Inc, where he completed electrical work for customers in Algoma and the surrounding area. With the shortage of electricians, plumbers and other trades, Bob established this scholarship fund to encourage entry into the trades. His wish, although not a requirement, is that after graduation the applicant will serve customers in Algoma and the surrounding area.

The award offers a $1,000 scholarship, paid in two $500 installments. The first installment of the award will be distributed upon proof of registration at a postsecondary institution. The second installment will be paid upon proof of admission to the second semester of the program.
