Kewaunee County Tavern League Scholarship

The Kewaunee County Tavern League offers a one-time $750 scholarship to a deserving senior planning to attend a two- or four-year postsecondary institution.

Scholarship Requirements

Criteria

  • Graduate of Algoma High School (Class of 2026)

  • Plan to pursue post-secondary education (two- or four-year college, university, or technical/trade program)

  • Demonstrated academic achievement, extracurricular involvement, and community service

  • No minimum GPA required.

  • Must demonstrate financial need.

Application Process and Essay

  • Complete the scholarship application, including a copy of your current high school transcript.

  • Write a well-though out essay answering the following question: "Who has been the person that has influenced you the most in your life and why?"

  • Include a description of your financial need (one page maximum).

  • If your application is selected to move forward after review, you will be contacted to schedule an in-person interview with the AAEF Scholarship Committee.

  • Selection is made by the Algoma Area Education Foundation Scholarship Committee.

Letters of Recommendation

  • Provide two letters of recommendation. One must be written by a representative of the Algoma School District.
