Promoting conservation in Kewaunee County
Muskrat City Sportsman’s Club is an active club that promotes conservation, education and sportsmanship relating to all outdoor pursuits. The clubhouse resides in Kewaunee County, Wisconsin on 70 acres that is managed for local wildlife, as well as recreational opportunities for its members.

Scholarship Requirements
Criteria

Graduate of Algoma High School (Class of 2026)

Plan to pursue post-secondary education (two- or four-year college, university, or technical/trade program)

Demonstrated academic achievement, extracurricular involvement, and community service

No minimum GPA required.

Preference will be given to students pursuing studies in Natural Resources or Agriculture; however, other applicants may be considered, especially those who demonstrate an interest in outdoor-related activities such as conservation, agriculture, hunting/fishing, or shooting sports.
Application Process and Essay

Complete the scholarship application, including a copy of your current high school transcript.

Write a well-thought-out essay answering the following question: "How has your involvement in outdoor-related activities helped you grow individually, expand your interest in this field, and support your community?"

If your application is selected to move forward after review, you will be contacted to schedule an in-person interview with the AAEF Scholarship Committee.

Selection is made by the Algoma Area Education Foundation Scholarship Committee.
Letters of Recommendation

Provide two letters of recommendation. One must be written by a representative of the Algoma School District.
